End Matter
What is end matter? Well, in a narrative it is the epilogue or appendix, depending on its status as a fiction or non-fiction narrative. This website is not a traditional narrative. However, it does tell a story. There is a conflict, plot arc and twists. However, there is no firm conclusion or resolution in this fair narrative. So, what, then, you ask, is end matter?
End matter is the Terms of Use, which is not required but clarifies the situation for those unknowning plaigarists (and the deliberate theives). People will be people and so many people do not realise that intellectual property is property by law. Stealing someone else's words and thoughts is not just not cool, but illegal too. It's always good to remind people of facts, with hard evidence.
The Privacy Policy is contained within the end matter. This was added as an afterthought after getting bogged down with all the legal stuff of websites. Website creation is now a trauma. I'd prefer if everybody who used the website does not consent to cookies because I'm a firm believer in privacy. Furthermore, I have no intention of pimping out my users to the nearest corporation, which is what is boils down to.
End matter is also the Annotated Written Appendix with a list of references. This Annotated Written Appendix is part of my Go Local Systems Thinking assignment. Not only do I have to reference things, but I have to explain why. This added hours on to my assignment but I enjoyed every moment of it. I only hope that I pass the unit where this assignment is concerned. Referencing so much, I always worry that I will forget to dot a t or cross an i.
If you received anything from reading this site. That is excellent news. If you want to give back, I'm not in the habit of receiving anything monetary. However, if you'd like to help turn the Curtin Veggie Garden into reality by showing support and bothering the powers-that-be, that would be wonderful. Curtin University is a large bureaucracy, or as I like to call it a Cureaucrazy. I've been hear for 3 years already. 2 of those years I've whispered this wild idea of a veggie garden to various people. Some people are listening. However, we need to light up a fire under the derriere of the bigwigs who make policy, own land and hold the purse strings.
If you can't manage that and you have some helpful notions you can point me in the right direction of who might want to partner or sponsor this veggie garden. If they have some sway with the powers-that-be, that works even better. I'm great with ideas. Charisma isn't my gig and neither is talking shop with the big boys. I'm the princess in the bounty hunter outfit with a wookie and a thermal detonator. So, if you have some thoughts on how to get this moving, I'm open to listening.
That is the end matter and it is also the end of the matter.
