Visionaries or Insane? Students and Faculty Interested in a Campus Veggie Garden

You'll see a big, fat 'why?' when you drive down the centre of Curtin campus in Bentley on Beazely Ave. It's ambiguous as hell, but it is as pertinent in unearthing motivation as it is user defined. What drives people to see things others don't? Why do people sometimes think an idea is good or bad? I've uncovered some interesting students and faculty intrigued by the idea of starting a community garden. In fact, I was at a discussion 4 December, 2024 when a group discussed this at a table. Here are the invitees and some of them were available to discuss some crazy further. The names with links will take you to a blog article where I conducted a rather mundane email interview.

I acknowledge the Whadjuk People of the Noongar nation who are the Traditional Custodians of the land, sea and air that I live, study and work on. I also acknowledge the Yamatji People who are the Traditional Custodians of my birthplace. I give, with a willing soul, due regard to all Indigenous Peoples across the globe and all Elders past, present and future. Furthermore, I recognise the inherent value of Indigenous connection to country and Indigenous spiritual belief systems. First Nations People occupied Australia prior to colonisation. No white law will ever change that.
